The Alward Institute, in collaboration with Dr. Thomas Rutherford and Andrew Schreiber (University of Wisconsin), the Alward Institute has assembled a Computable General Equilibrium Model Array data warehouse. Our CGE Model Array warehouse contains GAMS/MPSGE ready, basic CGE models based on calibrated CGE data sets from our CGE Model Array warehouse.
The Alward Institute CGE Model Array warehouse currently contains basic CGE models for all US counties for 2008 through 2012 and are available for a single region (e.g., for a single county, or multiple counties aggregated into a single place like a state) for a multi-regional system (e.g., a 5-county MRIO system or a 50-state MRIO system). Start your CGE model building with these basic CGE models to investigate research applications for specific problem frames such as fiscal, trade and hazard modeling.
Included in the basic model formulation are equations to replicate standard Leontief I-O multipliers. These multipliers are derived as the Jacobian matrix of partial derivatives for output with respect to a change in demand, and can be interpreted as marginal rather than average multipliers when used for impact analysis.
