The objective of the International Input-Output Association (IIOA) is the advancement of knowledge in the field of input-output analysis, including improvements in basic data, theoretical insights and modeling, and applications, both traditional and novel, of input-output techniques.  This includes the use of input-output techniques in such areas as energy, environment, international trade, financial flows, as well as price and general equilibrium analysis.  The IIOA fosters the exchange of ideas and communication among regional and specialized input-output associations, cooperating with scholars in other fields and establishing contacts with enterprises, governments and international organizations interested in the use of multi-sectoral, multi-regional and multi-national modeling.

The School of Economics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the International Input-Output Association (IIOA) held the 23rd International Input-Output Conference in June 23-26, 2015 at the UNAM in Mexico City.  The Alward Institute for Collaborative Science was selected to present two papers at this prestigious conference.
